ACLA16 WIND TUNNEL

The ACLA16 wind tunnel is capable of simulating the atmospheric boundary layer. It is located in the "Prof. José Meseguer Ruiz" building on the Montegancedo campus of UPM. Although it is a multi-purpose wind tunnel, it mainly provides services for tests related to civil aerodynamics.

Its main features are:

  • Test chamber:
    • Square section of 2.2 m on each side.
    • Length 20 m.
  • Maximum speed 35 m/s
  • Equipped with 16 fans
  • Total electrical power 120 kW

 

Our officies

The University Institute of Microgravity "Ignacio Da Riva" is part of the Universidad Politécnica de Madrid. We have one site at the Escuela Técnica Superior de Ingeniería Aeronáutica y del Espacio, within the Moncloa campus, and another at the Montegacedo campus.
