A4C WIND TUNNEL

The tunnel is designed to meet the requirements of two-dimensional body testing. It is primarily used for basic and applied research, undergraduate and postgraduate education.

This tunnel is an aspirated current, closed test chamber and open circuit. Its main characteristics are as follows:

  • Test chamber:
    • Section 1.8 m high and 0.2 m wide.
    • Length 1.2 m.
  • Maximum speed 30 m/s.
  • Equipped with 4 centrifugal fans.
  • Total electrical power 30 kW.
 
 

 

Our officies

The University Institute of Microgravity "Ignacio Da Riva" is part of the Universidad Politécnica de Madrid. We have one site at the Escuela Técnica Superior de Ingeniería Aeronáutica y del Espacio, within the Moncloa campus, and another at the Montegacedo campus.
