SUSPENDED ROOFS

Large suspended roofs, such as those found in airport terminals, sports stadiums or large industrial buildings, are structures that are vulnerable to wind action.

For cost and safety reasons, it is advisable to perform specific aerodynamic analyses on these types of structures for a complete wind load prediction, beyond the estimates based on international codes.

IDR/UPM has long experience in these analyses, having carried out studies and wind tunnel tests on several suspended roofs. The images shown here represent some of the structures studied. Please do not hesitate to contact us for further information or technical assessment.
